Bathroom Remodel - Day 6
There was a lot of measuring, double measuring and triple measuring to make sure it was properly centered and placed right.
I forgot to solder/sweat one of the joints and water went every where. That was a pain but it's all fixed and holding water pressure now. I hope I placed it right. I followed the instructions...but, I still worry.

Bathroom Remodel - Day5
Lots going on today. I took the day off because Home Depot and the plumber were coming today.
Home Depot dropped off all the materials we ordered on Sunday around 9am.
What was done today:
- Outlets set and wired up.
- Outside wall studs that were all eaten up were replaced.
- Outside wall was reinsulated and covered with tar paper.
- Applied tar paper and plywood to the subfloor.
- Adjusted the recessed mirror opening
- The plumber replaced all the old cast iron drains
- Finally we set the new tub.
Unfortunately in the midst of all that I managed to strain my wrist. I hope it's better by tomorrow night. I have dry wall and concrete board to put up!

Bathroom Remodel - The Start: Demo
Well we started it.
Last night we started ripping out the old tile and that continued this morning. There is still a bit more to rip up, like the floor, but we are getting close to where we can start rebuilding.
Unfortunately we found an old termite infestation. They didn't do anything that compromises the integrity of the house but we'll be replacing a few 2x4s. Ah the fun that you discover when remodeling an old home.
This afternoon we went to Home Depot and bought what we hope is a majority of the supplies. Tuesday it should be delivered. That should be the day we have the plumbing taken care of too.

Bug-a-poluza X
Went to Chattanooga, TN this last weekend to attend Bug-A-Poluza X. It was more for older 'air-cooled' VWs, but there were some 'water-cooled' ones like my sweet ride. :)
We didn't put our car in for judging but I still got a number of complements. Next year we'll have to go ahead and enter. What the hell. It was fun, even if we did both get sunburned.
Enjoy some other picts from the show.
